Metabolomic Medicine® Research

Metabolomic Medicine's clinical and research team since 2007 focuses on metabolomics analysis clinical application in autoimmune and chronic diseases. We are currently researching on metabolomics biomarkers use in clinical practice and telomere biology -nutraceuticals effect on telomere length

Metabolomic Medicine® collaborates with researches from national and international academic institutions like the University of Stanford USA, La Trobe University Melbourne Australia, University of Crete School of Medicine Greece, Universtity of Brescia Medical School Italy, the European Institute of Nutritional Medicine (E.I.Nu.M) Rome Italy, and the University of Medicine and Pharmacy of Craiova Romania.

    Description
    Highlights
    1. Obesity is recognized as chronic, low-grade inflammation and increased oxidative stress.
    2. Insulin resistance may occur due to chronic overfeeding and subsequent obesity.
    3. Dietary polyphenols may correct obesity-related insulin resistance, dose dependently.
    4. Dietary polyphenols decrease lipogenesis, increase lipolysis with the simultaneous stimulation of fatty acid oxidation.
    5. Polyphenol intake can prevent high-fat diet-induced insulin resistance via cell surface G protein-coupled estrogen receptor.
  22. Current evidence on the effect of dietary polyphenols intake on chronic diseases.
